REOPENING OUR OFFICE ANNOUNCEMENT IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health.  Our communities have been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines.  While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our office’s commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority in our practice.  We follow recommendations and guidelines make by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).  This allows us to make sure that our infection control procedures are up-to-date and enables us to provide the safest environment for your patients and their family members.

We ask that you please be patient and understand that we will do our best to accommodate your scheduling needs as we know many of you are anxious to get back into our office.

During this time, we have implemented additional safety precautions to help protect our patients and our staff.

Upon scheduling an appointment, COVID-19 questionnaire will be will be mailed or emailed to you.  This questionnaire can be completed before you arrive at the office or when you arrive. We will postpone treatments for any patient who has experienced or been in contact with someone who has experienced the following symptoms within 14 days of the scheduled appointment date: fever, cough, loss of taste/or smell, flu-like symptoms, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, fatigue.  We can reschedule 14 days after your exposure and no longer have any symptoms.

If you have preexisting health conditions (as recommended by the CDC) such as diabetes, chronic lung disease, COPD, asthma, serious heart condition, are immunocompromised, or chronic kidney or liver disease, we recommend you do not visit the office at this time for routine care.  Of course, dental emergencies are an exception.

We will be scheduling appointments in a manner that promotes social distancing and allows for adequate time for us to disinfect all areas of use in between patient appointments.

Upon arrival at our office, stay in your car and call us 608-835-0103. We will then call you when we are ready for you to come in.  All of Debbie’s patient will be greeted and entering through our front door.  Dr. Tammy Mandarino’s patients will be greeted and entering through our side door.

We ask that patients enter the office unaccompanied, if possible.  For those patients who need a guardian to accompany them, we ask that this be limited to one single family member.

Every person entering the office is expected to wear a face covering and will be asked to sanitize their hands.

Upon arrival all patients will have their temperature taken with a touchless thermometer.  We ask patient to please use hand sanitizer when entering the office.  Patients will also be asked to rinse their mouth with an antiseptic mouth wash.

Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since these items are difficult to clean and disinfect.

Clear plastic screens (sneeze guards) have installed at the front desk to minimize exposure to airborne pathogens.  We have placed barriers between operatories to minimize aerosol from moving room to room.

Our doctor and staff will be wearing all of the recommended personal protective equipment (PPE).  We have installed a Guardian Air OR+ U.V light into our air duct system.  The U.V light will purify every cubic inch of air in the HVAC system. It is proven to eliminate bacteria, viruses and mold.  We also have Hepa Filters in each room for extra protection.

Until an effective vaccine is administered and COVID-19 is eradicated we will continue to take extra measures.  We will remove these protocols as the CDC allows us too.

Thank you for being a part of our family dental practice.  We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.
